The Zanzibar Art, Census, Film and Culture Council has banned artist Zuhura Othman Soud 'Zuchu' from performing all art activities in Zanzibar for a period of six months after he violated Zanzibar values during the Fullmoon Kendwa festival held in the North Region of Unguja on February 24, this year where he made statements and showed bad signs during the festival
In addition, Zuchu has been fined TZS 1 million, his songs will be banned from being played on radio and television in Zanzibar for that period as well as being required to write a letter of apology and confirm that he will not repeat the offense during the period of his punishment
