Hezbollah attacks Israel
The Lebanese militant group, Hezbollah, has fired anti-tank missiles and bombs at an Israeli military convoy in a volatile border area, killing an Israeli citizen, the group and the Israeli army said Friday.
Hezbollah has said that its fighters ambushed the convoy shortly before midnight on Thursday, destroying two vehicles.
The Israeli army has said that the ambush attack injured an Israeli citizen who was an infrastructure worker, and he later died from his injuries.
Small skirmishes on Israel's border with Lebanon have threatened to erupt into violence as Israel targets Hezbollah militants in recent months.
The fighting has resulted in the deaths of 10 civilians and 12 soldiers in Israel, while in Lebanon, more than 350 people have been killed, including 50 civilians and 271 Hezbollah militants
